Join the West River Jacks for their 36th Annual Banquet, Auction, & Golf Tournament. The Banquet and Auction will be in Deadwood, SD on July 20 with the Golf Tournament the following day in Spearfish, SD.
Dennis Hedge, a member of the South Dakota State University faculty and staff since 1992, has been selected provost and vice president for academic affairs of the institution following a six-month national search. The appointment is subject to South Dakota Board of Regents’ approval at its March meeting.
Kinchel Doerner, current dean of the Graduate School at South Dakota State University, will serve as the interim vice president of research and economic development effective Jan. 1. Kevin Kephart held the vice president position before announcing his plans to retire.

Kevin Kephart, a mainstay at South Dakota State University for 30 years, has announced his plans to retire from the university, effective June 21, 2017. Kephart currently serves the role of vice president for research and economic development.
